The Strawberry Cafe

The Strawberry Cafe

The Strawberry Cafe is located in the historic railroad depot at the heart of Madison. The Strawberry Cafe was the first restaurant in Madison, established in 1987.  It was named after the fact that strawberries were produced in the area and distributed by train from the railroad depot; therefore, creating Madison. The current owners bought the café in August of 2005, changing everything except the name, in hopes of creating a restaurant in Madison with a comfortable atmosphere and great food.

Babalu

Babalu

Babalu is the brainchild of successful restaurateurs Bill Latham and Al Roberts. Collectively, the two business partners have owned or operated various restaurants both in and outside of Jackson, Miss., for more than 30 years. Their latest concept – upscale Latin-inspired cuisine, was born out of the love and respect for food and for music genres such as the guaracha, cha-cha, and Latin jazz. Understanding that music unites and energizes people and is a common inspirational thread, they quickly realized they were on to something.
